Data Analysis

I feel passionate about picking apart data and using it to tell a story. I first became interested in statistical analysis in an advanced Excel class, which soon made way to more powerful tools like R and Python. Most recently, I dabbled with big data tools in a Linux environment, utilizing MapReduce with tools like Hive, Pig, and Hadoop (see “Code and Dashboards”). Maintaining a growth mindset and a willingness to listen and learn is key in this field. A lot of the materials here are from classes, given the protection of data from the companies I have worked at. The concepts between the two naturally mesh - so the projects serve as a view into my learning journey.
